Third-party services

For serverside playlists (generation and management), check out the kPlaylist project: kPlaylist is a music database that you manage via the web. With kPlaylist you can stream your music (with the JW Player), upload, make playlists, share, search and download.

For statistics tracking, you can integrate the FLV Media Player with Google Analytics by setting a single flashvar to the player. You can also use the excellent Simple Stats statistics package, which has been specifically built for the player. It is written in Ruby and frequently discussed in this forum thread.

For subtitle creation, check out the SubBits subtitler. It's a decent subtitle editor that exports to Timed Text format.
